| The Førdefestival 2010: 8. - 11. july. |
Black Umfolozi was one of many groups and artists performing at the 20 anniversary of the Førdefestival this year. The festival as an annual international folk music festival, which was first held in 1990. This years festival is over. The festival will in 2010 be held 8. - 11. july.

| Troutfishing in Sunnfjord |
In Jølster and in countless rivers and lakes in Sunnfjord you may fish your own wild brown trout. Competitors from 18 nations competed here by us last year in the European Flyfishing Championship. They said this area is "world class" as it comes to trout-fishing. In the broschure that you may download here you find all you need to be able to fish for the trout in Sunnfjord.

| Hiking in Sunnfjord |
A hike on the 20 km long Fossestien (The Waterfall-path) is one of 15 hikes described in the broschure that you may download here. This path follows the water-course Gaula, close to the river and the waterfalls. In a few years the road across the Gaularfjell wil be one of Norways National Tourist roads.

| World Class fishing area..... |
President of the FIPS Mouche, James Ferguson said in his closing speech of the European Flyfishing Championship that they usually dont rank competitions to one another- But Sunnfjord as a fishing area for wild brown trout is both in quantity and quality World Class, he said.
Italy won the gold medal, and England the silver after what was a tight competition in the EC flyfishing. Pål Andersen won Norways first medal ever with an individual bronze. Uppdated results at www.effc.no
