District road RV 13 from Balestrand to Gaularfjellet mountains will in the next few years be developed into one of Norway's National scenic routes. The theme for the route will be 'From Sognefjorden to Fosseheimen'.

It's also worth taking the time to explore another scenic road - the fjord road to Florø. Start in Førde and drive District road Rv 5 to Naustdal. At Naustdal you drive along District road Rv 611. This road leads you along the shores of the Førdefjord, past the Luftkampmuseet (World War II dogfight museum), along Heilefjellet (photo inset). Then on to Vevring, Stavang and finishing up at District road Rv 5, which takes you to Florø. |
