All original Helle knives are guaranteed for life from faults in materials and manufacture. Faults due to materials or manufacture will be replaced or repaired by A/S Helle Fabrikker at no cost to the buyer.

Claims due to improper usage or lack of maintenance will not be met.

Take care of your knife

Helle knives are designed to retain their sharp edge as a lifelong outdoor companion. However, it is still important to take care of your knife. Clean the handle with a dry and soft cloth. You should also clean the blade with a non-abrasive cloth, and treat with grease, or oil it periodically. Dry the sheath carefully in room temperature if it becomes wet. Impregnate occasionally with a colourless impregnation agent such as grease or wax to keep the leather supple.

Any quality sharpener will keep your Helle blade sharp when used properly. The knife should be ground when it is very blunt, or if the edge has been badly chipped. Use a fine-grained grindstone, and apply plenty of water while sharpening. Avoid grinding with an emery wheel, as this can easily result in a hot-ground edge. A hot-ground edge cannot be repaired.
